Welcome to Saplings Day Nursery in Holbury!

We offer childcare for babies and pre-school children under 5 years old in the Waterside area of Southampton and the New Forest.

We are delighted to have a good Ofsted outcome and work hard to maintain the highest levels of care and stimulation for your child.

Saplings is a community nursery run by a Management Committee consisting of parents and professionals. Originally established in 2005, since September 2008 we have operated as a day care provider for children from three months to five years. In 2011 we changed to a limited company to make management of the  nursery simpler. The company name is Saplings (Childrens) Day Nursery Ltd.

We are open from 8 am until 5pm term time only.

To meet the needs of all families within our community, Saplings promotes equality of opportunity and an anti-discriminatory practice to ensure that all individual children and their families are welcomed and valued.

We are situated within the Cadland Children Centre and the premises are purpose built ensuring that children who attend our setting are specifically catered for. See our Facilities & Security page for more details.

Saplings is registered and inspected by Ofsted, our registration certificate is displayed within Reception. Have a look at Saplings Day Nursery’s Ofsted report. This covers the period since we became a limited company. Our previous reports are available on our old Ofsted page (marked Closed as we changed company name).

If you are looking for day nursery care please get in touch to discuss our services and we’d be delighted to arrange a visit.
