We are situated within the Cadland Children Centre and the premises are purpose built ensuring that children who attend our setting are specifically catered for.
There is a play room for babies with baby changing facilities and two rooms specifically for the two to five year old children. Each room has its own secure outside area.
In addition to these, there is a laundry, kitchen and reception area. We also share an area with the Reception class of “Cadland School” so that strong links are fostered and the children are more prepared for the transition to school.
We operate from a secure building where entry is accessed by a coded key. This ensures that visitors are unable to gain entry unless supervised by a member of staff. Children are also unable to leave the premises without their parent/carer.
To enhance security further, Saplings operates a password system which is set up by the parent when the child joins our setting. This ensures that only authorised people are able to collect the child. Under no circumstances will minors (a young person under 16 years of age) be allowed to collect a child from Saplings.
Saplings adhere to an extensive range of policies which offer guidance, support and advice for parents and staff. A full copy of these are available upon request should you wish to read them, they include safeguarding children and child protection, confidentiality and access to records, and fire evacuation procedures.
